Hi, I’m sheena…
… a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Calgary. I’ve spent over 13 years working in the fields of mental health, addictions, and trauma, and I’m passionate about helping people find clarity, healing, and strength in their lives.
My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I draw from a variety of modalities—including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)—to tailor each session to your unique needs and goals.
I practice from an innate spiritual lens that allows us to dive deeper within ourselves, seeking clarity from our highest and most powerful self. Often folks want to explore beyond traditional therapies, and spirituality often opens different avenues of healing and exploration.
I believe in creating a safe, calm, and non-judgmental space where you feel genuinely heard and supported. My goal is to empower you to navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and move toward long-term mental wellness.
I offer individual counselling for adults and teens (13+) both in-person in Okotoks and just northwest of High River, as well as virtually across Alberta, Nunavut, and Yukon.

A LiTTLE MORE ABOUT ME
Outside of my counselling work, I’m a proud mom to two energetic boys and wife to my best friend.
Our home on an acreage is shared with our dog Ollie, two strong-willed donkeys, and never-ending litters of barn cats. When I’m not supporting clients, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending my children’s various sports events, and embracing the quiet moments in between. I’m passionate about travel and adventure. I spent many years living abroad, sailing the high seas, living on boats, and studying Spanish in Mexico. My passion for travel, culture and the lived stories of others, has allowed me to practice and connect from a universal place that resides within all of us.
** Disclosure - - While I bring clinical training and experience to my work, I also value being real and relatable. I’m down-to-earth, often a bit sarcastic, and I genuinely enjoy connecting with people on a human level. Therapy can be a serious and meaningful process—but that doesn’t mean it can’t also include moments of laughter, lightness, and connection along the way.
